A Call to Nineveh

Frequently Asked Questions
Rachel is literally the best thing that God ever did for me, (other than
salvation).  When He created me, he saw that I was far from perfect, so He
decided to make someone that would love me anyway.  She is the most
beautiful, caring, funny, and God-fearing woman that I know.  I'm proud
to call her my wife and my best friend.  She has a great heart and everyone
who meets her instantly loves her.   How is it possible for one person to
have 11 best friends?  Her spiritual gifts include mercy, service, & faith.  She
has a way with children, and the ability to discern when God is speaking.
She is humble and selfless.
Her hobbies include all types of music, reading, animals, the outdoors,
travelling, exploring, cooking, and poking fun at me.  She is a licensed
massage therapist and has been repeatedly recognized for the talent that
God gave her in this area of her life.  She was born and raised in
Lawrenceville, Georgia, where she developed deep connections with her
family and the community that continue to this day.  She is very close to
her family and values the fellowship that she enjoys with them.  She was
saved as a teen and has been devoted to Christ since that day.  My family
has fallen deeply in love with her also and I think that's probably the only
reason why they still let me hang around.   I'm so excited to have her as a
partner in life, and on this mission that God has designed just for us.  She
is truly a joy and I thank God for her every day of my life.

You can learn more about her on her
Facebook.  Also, she writes
frequently on our
blog, which is a great way to see things through her
eyes.
I was born in Wyoming, in the middle of a snow storm to two very loving parents
who knew that God had something special in mind for my life.  They were right.   I
am fortunate to have had a unique, and interesting life in which God has blessed
me every step of the way and continues to do so today.   I strongly believe that
God used the experiences of my childhood to shape who I am today.  I was led to
the Lord at a very young age, mainly due to a fear of Hell.   Some time later I felt a
strong call to the ministry, and although I was excited to know God's plan, I was
also fearful of what the outcome might be.  I finally came to a point where I really
wanted nothing to do with God because of bitterness concerning some things
that happened to my family, which I strongly believe were direct attacks from the
enemy.   Later, when I could run no further and cause no more pain than I had
already, I recommitted my life to Christ.   He reaffirmed me and began to prepare
me for His purposes.  It was shortly after this time that I began my first
deployment with the ARMY.  I was sent to Bosnia, and that plays a part in our
story, though, I don't have space to discuss it here.  Through many difficult
experiences in the military and social circumstances, God prepared my heart for
Rachel and this calling.  I wholeheartedly believe that all of the pain and hardship
that I have endured in my life was for this purpose.  I currently have a loving wife,
everything I need, and a call from the mouth of God, none of which I remotely
deserve.  He created a woman just for me who loves me no matter what, and I will
never deserve the affection she has shown me.  I'm nowhere near perfect, and
have many hidden insecurities and yet He told me, "Go across the sea to another
land and share My Love with those people who can't see me...I'll prepare the way!"
My hobbies include reading, music, travel, exploring new places, camping, fishing,
kayaking, and almost any activity in nature.  I love God's beauty and I am so happy
that He decided to show off a little when He created the place that we call our
home.  I am always amazed when I see His Glory in Creation.
